Wahington contains some of the most desirable outdoor destinations in the country: The beautiful Northwest Pacific coastline, the breathtaking Cascades, the Olympic penninsula, the vast Columbia River plateau, and towering Mount Rainier. The State of Washington is also home to over 30 National Wildlife Refuges. If you haven't been to Washington yet, hopefully it's just a matter of time.

  • V Trail - Washington State Outdoors Guide
    A volunteer project written for hikers by hikers. Consists mainly of detailed hiking trail descriptions (there are hundreds), it also provides tips for hikers and book recommendations.

  • Port Angeles, Washington
    Since Port Angeles in the gateway to Olympic National Park hiking oppurtunies abound. From a short day hike to Lake Angeles to a overnight trip in the Elwha Valley you will find a wide range of great hikes.   • Mount Baker Hiking Club
    Based in Bellingham, this volunteer organization provides regular opportunities for hiking, biking, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, canoeing, and kayaking, as well as monthly social activities.

  • Spokane River Centennial Trail
    The Spokane Centennial Trail--a paved path running along the Spokane River from the Idaho State line to Nine Mile Falls--has something for everyone. Walk or run, bike or in-line skate, ride horseback in designated areas, or simply enjoy the natural beauty.

    The Mountaineers is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the preservation, exploration and enjoyment of outdoor and wilderness areas. The Mountaineers provide classes and outdoor activities such as Hiking, Scrambling, Backpacking, Kayaking, and many more.
